How long should a shingle roof last in Florida is a complex question. With insurance carriers demanding replacements well before the expected life of a shingle, the actual shingle life is hard to determine. Shingles we instal have a warrantied lifespan of 30-50 years, but again, with the harsh Tampa weather along the coast, these warranties are often voided in the first year or two of life.
In our opinion at around 14 years in Florida it is time to really start looking at replacement of your roof.
